The Bengal Explorer Came Home With a Telescope and Big Plans
Gold and black stripes streak the explorer's face, and his spotted paw grips a brass telescope as if he has just returned from the far edge of the map. This brown Bengal cat has amber-gold eyes, a white chin, and thick whiskers. His green velvet coat has golden embroidery on the collar, a leather strap crosses his chest, and a small pouch hangs at his side. A candle glows in the background, and a dark cloak falls from his shoulder. The painter has caught every fine spot on his paw, and his whiskers gleam white against the shadows.
Bengal cats are energetic, athletic, and curious, and their spotted coats were developed to look like those of wild cats. They are fully domestic, though, and they usually thrive on activity. Bengals love to climb, so tall cat trees and shelves are a great addition to a home. Many also enjoy puzzle feeders, wand toys, and even learning tricks. Because they are so smart, a bored Bengal may find its own entertainment, like opening cupboards. Daily play helps, and a vet can offer advice on diet and exercise for this active breed.
The expedition has found everything from the couch to the top of the bookshelf. The explorer looks pleased with his discoveries. He might even head back for lunch, as long as the map says it is time.
