The Husky Explorer Found the Horizon. Then He Found a Better One.
The Husky explorer has the pale blue eyes of someone who has seen distant horizons and wants to see more. He wears an olive green velvet coat with gold embroidery, a loose white shirt collar, and a leather strap across his chest. A brass telescope rests in his arms and a rolled map pokes up behind his shoulder. His black and white mask is perfectly symmetrical, and a small candle glows in the dark behind him.
Siberian Huskies were developed to pull light sleds over long distances in cold climates, and that history explains a lot. They are athletic, social, and famously vocal, with howls and chatter in place of barks. They are also escape artists, able to jump or dig under fences, so a secure yard and a leash on walks are important. A thick double coat sheds heavily twice a year, and regular brushing helps. Huskies need serious daily exercise, and they tend to be happiest when they have a job or adventure to look forward to. Because of that thick coat, hot weather is hard on them, so keep outings short and cool in summer. Your vet can advise on diet and activity.
If any dog was going to mount an expedition, it would be this one. The map just needs a snack stop marked on it.
