The Ragdoll Lord Traced the Globe and Chose the Best Place on Earth
The Ragdoll lord sits on a wooden table, front paws neatly together and fluffy white tail curled beside him, with an antique globe at his shoulder. He wears a green velvet coat with gold leaf embroidery, a brown fur collar and a white cravat, and his blue eyes look out with a quiet, thoughtful gaze. The dark mask and ears of his seal point coat frame his face. Behind him, a pink drape and a tall window with a soft light add a grand Victorian feel.
Many Ragdolls are described as dog-like cats, since they greet people at the door, follow them from room to room and tolerate gentle handling. They are large, slow-maturing cats, with males often reaching 15 pounds or more, so a sturdy cat tree and strong scratching posts suit them best. The long silky coat is surprisingly low in matting, but brushing a couple of times a week is still useful. Because Ragdolls are so trusting, they should stay indoors to be safe from traffic, other animals and hazards. Provide window perches, interactive toys and a quiet resting spot. Ask your vet about preventive care, and keep up with regular checkups as your cat matures.
The lord has circled the globe in his imagination and concluded that the best place in the world is a soft lap.
