The Russian Blue Admiral Had Seen Many Storms and Stayed Calm
Green eyes glow like emeralds in the dim light, set in the silver-blue face of a Russian Blue. The admiral wears a navy coat with a gold epaulette as wide as a dinner plate, a high embroidered collar, gold buttons and a thin gold chain, and the candles behind him throw soft light on a plush, shimmering coat. He is turned just slightly to one side, ears pricked, and he wears the calm look of someone who has seen many storms and is not worried by this one.
Russian Blues are known for that dense, silvery-blue double coat, which looks almost plush, and for bright green eyes that develop as kittens mature. They are often described as gentle, quiet and a bit shy with strangers, though loyal and playful with their families. Many like a routine and may be sensitive to change, so a predictable feeding time and a quiet retreat for visitors can help. They enjoy interactive games, climbing and puzzle toys, and some love fetching small toys. Their coat is easy to care for with weekly brushing. Like any cat, they should have fresh water, a clean litter box and regular visits to the vet, who can advise on diet and health.
The fleet is in good hands. The admiral will check on it after a nap in the one sunbeam on the quarterdeck.
