A Red Husky Cavalry Officer Rides Out Under a Cloud of Pink Plumes
Pink and cream ostrich feathers curl over a gold helmet worn by a red-and-white Siberian Husky, his pointed ears just visible under the brim. His coat is rose-pink with gold embroidery, a wide golden sash crosses his chest, and large fringed epaulettes sit on both shoulders. His pale, bright eyes stare ahead with proud determination against a backdrop of pastel clouds, gold shell ornaments and blooming roses.
Siberian Huskies were bred to run long distances in cold weather, so they have loads of stamina and love to be active. Daily vigorous exercise, along with plenty of mental stimulation, helps keep them happy. They are also known for their independence, and many love to roam, so a secure fence and leash are important. Their thick coat sheds heavily, and plenty of brushing helps during seasonal changes.
What makes this portrait so fun is the plumes. They curve and wave with such grace that they seem to move in a breeze, and they are painted in the same soft pinks as the room. The red-and-white fur gives the Husky a warm, glowing look that matches the gold trim. It is hard to imagine a more cheerful cavalry officer, even if his horse is nowhere in sight.
This officer is ready to lead the parade, whether or not anyone else remembers the route.
