Two Wrinkly Faces Peeked Out of One Chunky Blanket
Wrapped in a thick cream knit blanket, two brindle-and-white Bulldog puppies lean cheek to cheek. Their wrinkled faces are soft and squashed, with big dark eyes, folded ears, and pink noses, and one has a white stripe running between the eyes. The room behind them is cluttered in a comfortable way, with a mug on a table and a gray throw over a chair.
Bulldogs are known for being gentle, calm, and a little stubborn, and they love being close to their people. As puppies they sleep a great deal, and they like to be snug and warm. A soft blanket helps them feel secure, though the knit should be checked for loose loops that little claws could snag on or that curious mouths might chew.
The Bulldog's short muzzle means they can have more trouble with breathing and heat than many other breeds. A cozy blanket is lovely on a cool day, but make sure the puppy can move out from under it and cool down if she gets warm. Keep the room at a comfortable temperature, and talk to your vet about how to spot signs of overheating in your dog.
These two seem to have no such worries today. Their heads rest together, their eyes are soft, and the blanket holds them like a warm hug. Anyone who passes by will probably speak in a whisper, just in case.
