Four Striped Puppies Sat in the Tall Grass and Watched the Sun Go Down
Four brindle-and-white Bulldog puppies sit together in a patch of tall summer grass, their wrinkled faces turned toward the camera or off to the side. The low sun lights up their striped coats, and a green watering can, a pair of sandals, and a plant pot sit on the porch behind them. The grass tickles their chests, and none of them seems to mind.
Tall grass is full of hidden hazards for puppies. Grass seeds can lodge in ears, eyes, and paws, ticks can hide in long blades, and the ground may be uneven. After a romp, check your puppy for burrs, ticks, and scratches, and ask your vet about parasite prevention. Keep her on a leash or in a fenced area.
Bulldogs enjoy gentle outdoor time but should not be pushed in warm weather. Their short noses make it hard to cool down, so shade, water, and rest are important. Evening or morning is a good time for a short walk, and they are happy to stop often to sniff and sit.
These four seem to have found a pleasant spot to sit and watch the world. They pose in a casual row, and the sun sets slowly behind them. The grass sways, the porch waits, and nothing needs to happen right away. It is a peaceful end to the day.
