Four Saint Bernard Puppies Turned a Kiddie Pool Into a Splash Party
Four Saint Bernard puppies are splashing in a blue plastic kiddie pool, their wet fur sticking up in tufts and water spraying around them. One pup bites playfully at the air, another stands with a front paw in the water, and two more look on in delight. Flowerpots, a watering can, and a few forgotten toys fill the sunny yard behind.
Water play is a great way to cool off, but Saint Bernards need special care in the heat. Their thick coats and large bodies make them prone to overheating, so shade, cool water, and breaks are important. Keep the pool shallow, never leave puppies unsupervised near water, and dry their ears afterward to help avoid irritation.
The breed often drools and sheds, which can be a bit messy, but it is part of their charm. Saint Bernards tend to be friendly and gentle, and they usually get along well with families. Early socialization helps them become calm, confident adults. Talk to your vet about heat safety, since giant breeds are more sensitive to warm weather.
The splashing is in full swing, and the puppies are thoroughly soaked and thoroughly happy. A towel is definitely in the future. It is the kind of afternoon that tires out puppies and leaves them sleeping happily on a warm patio, wrapped in towels.
