One Little Puppy Took Over the Picnic Blanket and Posed
On a bright red-and-white checked blanket, a small white puppy lies with his front paws stretched out. His dark eyes look slightly to the side, his black nose gleams, and his ears flop in soft folds. The sun lights up his fluffy coat, and a few wisps stand up on top of his head like a tiny crown. A plant and a wooden floor glow behind him, making this a very cozy indoor picnic.
Picnics are fun for puppies, but a few precautions go a long way. Keep food off the blanket, since foods like grapes, chocolate, onions, and anything with artificial sweeteners can be dangerous for dogs. Offer fresh water and a bit of shade if you are outdoors, and keep the puppy on a leash or in a play pen so he cannot wander off.
Maltese puppies are small, light, and quite delicate, so even a short walk can tire them out. They love company, and they tend to be most content when they are right beside their people. A blanket spread on the floor gives them a familiar place to rest, and a favorite toy adds comfort. A calm, sunny spot and a gentle brush make any day better.
With that sweet face and the red checks behind him, he looks like the very best picnic guest. All he needs now is a pet.
