Five Fawn Chihuahua Puppies Settled Into a Big Basket of Flowers
A large wicker basket filled with greenery and small white flowers has been claimed by five fawn Chihuahua puppies. Their sandy coats blend with the woven basket, and their ears flop in different shapes. Some snooze with their chins on others, while one looks out at the camera with big, quiet eyes. Behind them, a hallway with a glass door, a plant and a pair of slippers brightens the floor.
Baskets filled with flowers look lovely, but greenery and blossoms can be harmful to dogs. Many common flowers and foliage are toxic, and puppies explore with their mouths. Check any plants before putting them near a puppy, and choose a basket with a soft blanket instead. Chihuahuas often prefer small, cozy spots, so a basket with a warm liner makes a good nest. Be sure it is sturdy and does not have sharp ends, and watch for chewing.
If your puppy eats something from a plant, call your vet right away. Short, cheerful training sessions with tiny treats suit this breed well, since they are clever and quick to learn what earns a reward. A Chihuahua's bark can be surprisingly loud, and calm, consistent training can teach the difference between a useful alert and a habit. Many Chihuahuas live a long time, so a puppy chosen today may be a companion for well over a decade.
For now, the basket holds five soft, sleepy little faces, and they look right at home among the leaves.
