The Samoyed Puppy Wanted Only One Thing From the Picnic

A picnic blanket is a nice spot to practice relaxing outdoors. Teaching a puppy to settle on a mat or blanket gives her a place that means calm, and that skill is helpful later at cafes, parks, or family gatherings. Bring a few chew toys, and reward her when she lies down quietly.
Outdoor time with a Samoyed puppy does require care with the weather. This breed is built for cold, and with its dense coat it can overheat on a warm day, so shade and fresh water are important. Pick cool parts of the day for playtime, and never leave a dog alone in a hot car or on a hot patio. Puppies also need their vaccinations in order before mingling in public spaces, so check with your vet about what is safe at each stage.
This little picnic guest seems to have the right idea, though. The blanket is soft, the air is mild, and there is nothing to do but rest.
