Five Rottweiler Puppies Spotted a Butterfly Floating Over the Lawn
On a patch of lawn bathed in golden light, five black and tan puppies tumble and play while an orange butterfly floats above them. One pup in the back looks up at the butterfly, two wrestle in the middle, and another in front smiles with its mouth open. A wooden fence and a few potted plants frame the yard.
Rottweiler puppies are playful and strong, and the lawn is a perfect place for them to burn off energy. Chasing butterflies helps with coordination, but remember that large breeds are still growing, so keep play sessions short and avoid forcing long runs. Your vet can tell you how much exercise suits a young Rottweiler. Short bursts of play with rests in between suit growing puppies far better than long, hard exercise.
A fenced yard is ideal for this kind of play. Check that the lawn is free of fertilizers or weed killers, and watch for stinging insects, since puppies who snap at bees or wasps can be stung. Practice recall in a safe area by calling her name and rewarding her for coming. Rottweilers are usually loyal and attentive, so a good recall is a very achievable goal, especially if training begins early.
The butterfly will probably wander off soon, but the five chasers seem likely to keep their fun going. Their tails are wagging the whole time, so the fun is far from over.
