Dot Finally Figured Out the Front Camera. Moose Was Ready Instantly.
Dot holds the phone out at arm's length, tilts her head toward Moose, and smiles the warm, crinkly smile of someone who has just figured out how to flip the camera around. Her short white hair is a little windswept, and she wears a sage quilted vest over a blue plaid shirt. Moose fills the other half of the frame with his big, glossy black head, mouth open in a wide doggy grin, tongue out, amber-brown eyes shining. His collar sits snug around his thick neck. Behind them, the porch rail, a few potted plants, and a sunny yard make the perfect backdrop.
Labrador Retrievers have been among the most popular dog breeds in the United States for many years, and their friendly, outgoing personality is a big reason why. They tend to be affectionate with family, good-natured with visitors, and eager to please, which makes them easy to train with positive reinforcement. They're also energetic and social, so they do best with daily exercise and plenty of time with their people. For older owners, an adult Lab that's past the bouncy puppy stage can be a wonderful companion, offering enthusiasm and loyalty without quite as much chaos.
This selfie might end up on the fridge, in a frame, or both. With a grin like Moose's, it would be a shame to keep it hidden in the phone.
