The Old Green Tractor Has Two Passengers Today and No Driver
The cracked black seat of an old green tractor has two passengers today and no driver. On one side sits a seal point Ragdoll, her creamy body shading into dark chocolate on the face, ears, and paws, her bright blue eyes glancing sideways at her companion. Pressed right against her is a white goat freckled all over with black spots, floppy ears relaxed and amber eyes calm, chin resting on the cat's shoulder like an old friend. Behind them, a weathered barn wall, a metal bucket, and a dusty farmyard set the scene for a slow country afternoon.
Ragdolls are a large, gentle longhaired breed known for their blue eyes, color-point coats, and famously relaxed nature. Many go limp and floppy when picked up, which is how the breed got its name. They tend to be affectionate, people-oriented, and fairly quiet, often following their owners from room to room. Ragdolls also mature slowly and may not reach their full size until they are several years old. Their semi-long coat has less undercoat than some breeds, so it mats less easily, but regular combing still keeps it soft. Because they are so trusting, most Ragdolls are safest living indoors.
Out here on the farm, though, this Ragdoll has found a calm and steady friend to lean on. If the tractor ever starts moving again, at least they will be riding together.
