A Chihuahua Took the Front Seat of the Yard Wagon. Her Passenger Rode in Back.
The wagon is small, the straw is fresh, and the passengers are thrilled with their ride. A fawn Chihuahua with big upright ears sits at the front of a little wooden yard wagon, turning to look at the white lamb lounging behind her. The lamb gazes right back with a soft, contented expression, its legs folded neatly beneath it. A rope pull handle stands up from the front, and the backyard around them is pleasantly messy: a blue bucket on its side, a pair of sneakers, a pink cup, potted plants, and a lawn scattered with autumn leaves.
Chihuahuas are among the smallest dog breeds in the world, and the breed takes its name from the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Despite their size, they are often bold, loyal, and very attached to their favorite person. Small breeds like this one can be prone to dental problems because their teeth are crowded into tiny mouths, so regular tooth brushing and dental checkups go a long way. Wagons, strollers, and carts can be a fun way to bring a little dog along on outings, especially for older or tired pups, but they should always be supervised so nobody hops out mid-ride.
There is no hurry in this wagon and no particular destination either. Just two friends, a pile of straw, and a slow trip across the yard. Honestly, that sounds like a perfect afternoon.
