A Plain Cardboard Box Has Never Been This Popular With a Bulldog and a Goat
A plain cardboard box has never looked so popular. Squeezed inside, a white Bulldog with a deeply wrinkled face, droopy jowls, and rose-shaped ears leans in cheek to cheek with a fluffy white baby goat. The Bulldog's dark eyes gaze sideways with a look of gentle resignation, while the goat, with tiny horns and soft floppy ears, seems completely delighted with the cozy arrangement. Straw spills across the floor around the box, and grey slippers, a potted plant, and a rumpled chair sit in the room behind them.
Animals of all kinds love boxes. Enclosed spaces feel safe and secure, offering a sense of shelter from the busy world around them. If your pets enjoy hanging out in boxes, make sure they're clean, sturdy, and free of staples, tape, or plastic that could be chewed or swallowed. For Bulldogs specifically, comfort is key. They're a flat-faced breed that can struggle with breathing, so they do best in cool, well-ventilated spaces and shouldn't be cramped in hot conditions. Their facial folds also need regular gentle cleaning and drying to prevent irritation. With their calm, affectionate temperaments, many Bulldogs can be easygoing companions for other animals.
There may not be much room left in this box, but nobody seems to mind sharing. Sometimes the simplest hideout makes the best clubhouse for two.
