Nobody Told Them the Tractor Was Parked, So They Climbed Aboard
Two glossy black friends have climbed onto the seat of an old tractor and look right at home. The Poodle, with tight dark curls and a leather collar, sits upright and faces the camera with a calm, thoughtful expression. Beside him a sleek black cat with bright yellow eyes presses close, tail tucked out of sight. Behind them a worn doorway, hanging bags and boots by the wall give the place the feel of a well-used workshop.
We might call the dog Onyx and the cat Midnight. Against the rusty metal and the peeling paint, their dark coats look almost like velvet.
Poodles are often described as very smart and eager to learn, and they come in standard, miniature and toy sizes. Their curly coats shed little but need regular brushing and professional grooming to prevent mats. They usually enjoy having a job, so puzzle toys and training games keep them happy. Black cats, for their part, are no different in temperament from cats of any other color, despite the old superstitions. In either case, if your animals like to explore workshops, barns or garages, supervise them. Old equipment can have sharp edges, rust or leaking fluids, so keep curious paws away from anything unsafe.
Onyx and Midnight look ready to head out for a drive, with no one in a hurry and no destination in mind.
