A Golden Retriever Rested His Chin Next to a Sleeping Devon Rex
Sunlight spills over the wooden deck, and the big dog has lowered his head to rest beside a small cream cat. The dark red Golden Retriever has his chin on the boards and his gentle eyes half closed. Curled against his cheek, a cream Devon Rex sleeps with her large ears and her wavy coat glowing in the light. Beyond them, a wooden fence and a few garden plants stand in the warm afternoon.
Golden Retrievers are friendly, patient dogs, famous for their gentle nature. They're often wonderful with children and other pets. Their thick coats shed, so regular brushing helps, and they love being close to their families.
Devon Rex cats have soft, wavy coats and large ears. They tend to be playful, social, and curious, and they love warmth. A sunny deck beside a warm dog is just right. Their thin fur means they can get cold, but also may sunburn, so shade and water should always be nearby.
The dog doesn't seem to want to move, and the cat doesn't want to either. They are just enjoying the sun and each other's company. It's the kind of peaceful moment that makes an afternoon feel golden and long. The sun slowly shifts across the boards, and still neither of them stirs. It is a very good way to spend a lazy day.
