A Pug and a Calf Leaned Over the Garden Bed Looking Guilty-Curious

AI imagepugcalfgarden

The Pug's wide dark eyes are peering over the edge of a wooden garden bed, and his forehead is wrinkled in thoughtful concentration. Next to him, Clover has lowered her big white-blazed face toward the leaves, her pink nose just above a clump of lettuce and basil. Both of them are clearly studying the greenery with great interest. A blue watering can, a wooden fence and a patchy lawn stretch out behind them.

Pugs are small, sturdy dogs with a famously comic expression and a big appetite for attention and food. They love people and are often called clowns of the dog world. Because Pugs are quick to gain weight, keep an eye on treats and measure meals, and ask your vet about a healthy weight. Gardens deserve care too: some common plants, such as onions, garlic and chives, can be harmful to dogs, so check what is growing before letting a curious pet near it. Lettuce and basil are generally safe, but a nibble here and there is plenty.

The two garden inspectors look as if they have found something important, or at least something tasty. For now the lettuce is safe, the basil is untouched, and the committee is still making up its mind. It is hard to say which of the two looks more curious, but both are taking the job very seriously.
