A Blue Point Siamese Led Her Bunny Friend Through the Wildflowers

The meadow is full of tiny white and yellow flowers, and a pale blue point Siamese cat is walking through them with bright blue eyes and quiet confidence. Close beside her a cream lop-eared bunny hops along at the same pace, ears bouncing. The long grass brushes their sides, and a green hedge in the distance fades into the soft light of a warm afternoon. Butterflies drift above the grass, and a few petals cling to the cat's whiskers as she glances back to check on her friend.

Siamese cats are slim, elegant and famously talkative. They tend to be very social and attached to their people, and they will often tell you all about their day in a loud, raspy voice. Their bright blue eyes and dark points, found on the ears, face, paws and tail, come from a temperature-sensitive gene that makes cooler parts of the body darker.

Outdoor adventures should always be safe. A harness and leash, a secure yard or a protected enclosure helps keep pets from wandering. Meadows may also contain ticks and plants that are poisonous, so check your pets afterward and talk to your vet about parasite protection. Rabbits especially should only be outside with supervision and in a secure space.

The two friends walk side by side, taking in every sight and smell. A good walk is better with a friend. A meadow is a lovely place for a stroll. A good walk is better together.
