A Havanese Puppy and a Pony Squeezed Into the Same Cardboard Box
A well-worn cardboard box sits on a bright living room floor, and two friends are squeezed inside. A fluffy cream and white Havanese puppy sits up in front with his ears flopped and his dark eyes bright, and beside him a shaggy tan pony rests his head over the edge, looking out calmly. A houseplant, a window, and some shoes show in the background.
Havanese are small, sociable dogs from Cuba, with silky, wavy coats and a happy, outgoing personality. Puppies are playful and clever, and they like to be near their people. The long coat needs regular brushing, and many owners keep it trimmed short to make care easier. They do not like to be left alone for long, so they do best in homes with plenty of company. A vet can offer advice on coat and general care.
Boxes are a classic favorite for pets, and not only cats. Many dogs enjoy a snug place to curl up, and a sturdy cardboard box makes an easy den. It offers walls to lean against and a little privacy. A blanket inside makes it even cozier. Supervise young pups, though, as they may start chewing the cardboard.
In this picture, the two have squeezed in with plenty of room for one more friendly look. The box may be small, but the friendship fills it. They look quite happy with their hideout.
