The Tractor Was Parked, and Two Friends Took the Driver's Seat
The old tractor seat has never held such soft passengers. A seal point Ragdoll with striking blue eyes sits fluffed and upright on the cracked black vinyl, her cream and chocolate fur catching the dim light. Squeezed in beside her, a golden puppy rests his chin on the seat, his dark eyes drowsy. A few loose cat hairs drift from the cushion, a rusted spring peeks out underneath, and the whitewashed wall behind them looks cool and quiet. A wicker basket and a folded blue cloth sit near the doorway, and a bit of daylight slips in from outside.
Ragdolls are large, gentle cats, often described as relaxed and affectionate. The name comes from how some of them go soft and floppy when picked up, though not every one will, and it is always best to support a cat's whole body. They tend to follow their people around and often get along with kind dogs. Farm sheds and workshops are cozy but can hold hazards such as oil, tools and rusty metal, so it is wise to keep pets away from anything sharp or chemical. A clean, safe corner with a blanket gives the same warm, tucked-away feeling.
The tractor may be off duty for the day, but its seat has found a new purpose. Two gentle drivers are quite happy to stay parked.
