The Goldendoodle Kept Watch Under a Hammock Full of Sleeping Ducklings
The hammock has been turned into a nursery. A curly apricot Goldendoodle lies on the porch boards below it with her head down and a thoughtful look on her face, and inside the rope hammock above her, a neat row of yellow ducklings is sound asleep, tucked side by side like peas in a pod. A flowerpot and a few green bushes are visible outside the porch.
Goldendoodles are friendly, social dogs that are a mix of Golden Retriever and Poodle. They are usually affectionate and gentle, and they enjoy being close to their families. Their curly coats are soft and need regular brushing and grooming to prevent mats. They are energetic dogs that love a walk or a game, and they are happy to rest afterward.
A hammock can be a cozy place to nap, but it needs to be safe. For ducklings, a hammock is not a good bed because they could fall or get tangled in the ropes. They are better kept in a warm, secure space with a heat source, a non-slip floor and clean water. A vet or poultry expert can help you find the best setup.
The Goldendoodle looks like a very proud guard. The ducklings look comfortable, and everything is calm on the porch. A slow afternoon on the porch is hard to beat. Every one of them seems to know it.
