A White Poodle and a Lamb Took Over the Laundry Basket
Piled with beige blankets, a wicker laundry basket has become a nest for a white Poodle and a white lamb. The Poodle has her eyes closed, her curly head resting gently on the lamb's shoulder. Dumpling is wrapped in the fold of a blanket, ears flat and eyes closed. In the room behind them, a lamp glows, clothes and shoes lie scattered, and a stuffed rabbit sits on the shelf. The two friends are the same color, so they nearly melt together. The basket is a little crowded, but neither one seems to mind. Her black nose is hidden in the lamb's wool, and one ear flops over the edge of the basket.
Poodles are intelligent, active and eager to learn, and they come in standard, miniature and toy sizes. Their curly coats shed little, but they need regular grooming. Poodles are often very attuned to people and animals, and they are known for their sensitivity. Warm baskets are a favorite for many dogs, but laundry can contain small items like socks, buttons and pins that pets might swallow, so it's good to check the basket. A soft blanket makes a good bed for a lamb, too. If a lamb ever seems unwell or too cold, talk to a vet. Wash blankets often, since pets and farm animals can both bring in dust and bits of straw.
The washing can wait, because this basket is now occupied. Nobody is going to fold anything for a while.
