Two Curious Faces Looked Out From Behind the Old Barn Door
Two faces peek out over the edge of a weathered wooden barn door. A lemon and white Beagle with long, soft ears and big brown eyes looks out with his nose lifted, and beside him a brown and white calf rests its chin on the same board and looks in the same direction. A bit of green yard shows behind them, and the planks of the old barn are silvered with age.
Beagles are scent hounds, bred to follow their noses, and they are known for being cheerful, curious, and friendly with other animals. They love to explore, so a secure fence is important, since a Beagle that catches an interesting smell may wander. Calves are also natural explorers, and a barn door is a good place for them to check on the world. Keep doors and latches secure so young animals do not wander into danger. If animals share a barn, keep feed stored safely out of reach, as Beagles are famously food-motivated and can get into trouble over a bag of grain.
There is a funny harmony in the way they pose, each with a chin on the door and a look of mild curiosity. It is as if two neighbors were leaning over a fence to see what is going on. Neither wants to miss anything, and neither wants to miss it alone.
