A French Bulldog and a Cream Cat Took a Stroll Down the Path Together
Down a narrow gravel path beside an old house, a cream French Bulldog and a cream cat with a flat face and sleepy eyes are heading straight toward you. The Frenchie leads with his bat ears up and his eyes wide, and the cat follows a step behind. Rubber boots, a watering can, and a few clay pots line the path, and a blue ball lies in the gravel as if a game has recently ended. Late sun lights the path in gold, and the shadows of the fence stretch long.
Exotic Shorthairs are sometimes described as Persians with short coats. They are quiet, gentle, and affectionate, and their flat faces mean they can have breathing and eye problems, so regular vet visits are helpful. French Bulldogs are also flat-faced and sensitive to heat, so a relaxed walk in shade is best. Walking pets together can strengthen their bond, especially if each has a sturdy harness and they move at a comfortable pace.
Their expressions are priceless. The Frenchie looks cheerful and curious, while the cat looks as though she's mildly unimpressed but has agreed to come anyway. Neither one seems to care that the other is moving at a different speed.
The gravel crunches and the afternoon is calm. Wherever they're going, they're going together. A friendship like theirs makes every ordinary path feel like an adventure.
