A Samoyed and an Orange Cat Wait for Their Wagon Ride
A small wooden wagon sits in a sunny yard with a rope trailing from its handle, and two passengers are sitting up in it like VIPs. A big white Samoyed fills most of the space with his dark nose and gentle eyes, and a fluffy orange longhair cat sits tucked against his side with her ears forward. A few tufts of straw lie in the bottom of the wagon. Behind them, a wooden fence, a watering can and a house wall catch the afternoon light. They look ready for the ride of a lifetime.
Samoyeds were bred in Siberia to pull sleds and herd reindeer, so a wagon ride might be right up their alley. They are friendly, intelligent dogs, and they need regular grooming and exercise. A long-haired orange cat has a thick coat that needs brushing, and orange cats are often described as laid-back and sociable. Wagons are fun for pretend play, but pets should never be pulled or ridden unsupervised, and the wheels and sides can be dangerous. Put a pet in a wagon only briefly, with a person in charge, and keep rides slow.
The two passengers sit upright and proud. The wagon may not be going anywhere, but they look as if they've already reached the best destination. Good company is a ride all by itself.
