A Towering Harlequin Great Dane and a Little Silver Cat Walk the Fence Line
A path runs along a wire fence at the edge of a quiet farm, and a very tall harlequin Great Dane is walking along it with his head high. Beside him, a silver tabby British Shorthair trots at his front paw, her striped coat catching the gray light. The dog's white coat is splashed with black patches, and the cat's stripes look like silver ink. Fence posts, a field and a few farm buildings stretch behind them. It looks like a calm, overcast morning.
Harlequin is a coat pattern in Great Danes, with black patches on a white background. Great Danes are famously gentle despite their size, and they're usually affectionate and laid back. They need space, a carefully balanced diet and regular vet visits since giants tend to age more quickly than smaller dogs. British Shorthairs are calm, sturdy cats with dense plush coats and round faces, and they tend to be easygoing. A walk along the fence line is a good way for both to get exercise and fresh air, though on any farm, pets should stay within safe, fenced areas.
The pair makes a funny contrast, with one very tall and one very low. Even so, they have settled into a matching pace, with a rhythm all their own. It's the kind of friendship where nobody has to hurry.
