Two Curious Faces Appeared in the Barn Doorway at the Same Time

AI imageboston terriercalfbarn door

Two faces appear in the doorway of the barn, and both look equally curious about what is going on outside. A black and white Boston Terrier peers out with his big, round eyes and erect ears, and right beside him a brown and white calf stretches her nose past the frame, her ears sticking out sideways. The weathered boards and a stretch of green pasture are all that can be seen beyond. The terrier is Domino and the calf is Maple. Straw clings to the doorframe, and the pasture beyond looks bright and inviting.

Boston Terriers are friendly, adaptable little dogs that were developed as companions. They are known for their expressive eyes and playful personalities, and they usually love being around people and other animals. Because their faces are short, they should not be left in hot places, and shade and water are very important in warm weather.

Peeking out of a doorway is classic curious-animal behavior. Many animals check out their surroundings from a safe spot before stepping out. If you have a dog who hesitates at doors, go slowly and let them explore at their own pace. Keep farm gates and barn doors latched when pets are loose so they can't wander off unnoticed.

Domino and Maple look like a tiny welcoming committee. Whatever is outside the barn is about to be inspected thoroughly. Both of them wait at the door as though the whole farm is theirs to explore.
