The Goldendoodle Stood Perfectly Still While the Little Horse Climbed Up
Backyard antics at their finest: a small chestnut horse with a wispy mane has stepped up onto the back of a cream Goldendoodle, and the dog is smiling about it. The Goldendoodle stands steady on the grass with his curly face turned to the side and his tongue peeking out, while the horse balances above him with a proud look. A wooden fence and shrubs make a quiet backdrop. The dog is Biscotti again and the horse is Copper. Neither seems to think the arrangement is unusual, and the lawn looks like a stage for a very small circus.
Goldendoodles are known for their patient, sweet temperament, and they often put up with a lot from their friends. They are also energetic and intelligent, so they enjoy games and attention. Their curls need regular grooming, and they love being part of the family's activities.
A scene like this is cute, but it is a good reminder that no animal should carry another's weight. A horse, even a small one, can hurt a dog, and dogs' backs are not made for carrying. Keep playtime gentle and on the ground, and separate pets of very different sizes during exuberant games. If your pets love to play together, stay close to supervise and call a break if things get rough.
Biscotti is taking it with great good humor, and Copper looks very pleased with himself. It is a silly and sweet picture.
