A Great Dane and a Horse Met at the Windowsill, Nose to Nose
The windowsill is chipped and sunny, and two big noses have met on it. A fawn Great Dane stands with her droopy ears and her big, thoughtful eyes, while a chestnut horse leans in from the right, his muzzle almost touching hers. A curtain, a plant, and a shelf of stuffed toys are visible behind them. The Dane is Daisy again and the horse is Copper. Dust motes float in the beam of sun, and the whole room looks like it is made of gold.
Great Danes are among the largest dog breeds, and they are famous for being gentle, affectionate, and a little clumsy. They need space, moderate exercise, and early training, and they are happiest when they are close to their people. They are also prone to certain health issues, so regular vet visits are a good idea.
A sunny window is a favorite spot for pets, but be careful with screens and sills. Make sure the window is secure, because a heavy dog can lean on a screen and push it out. Warm sunlight is lovely, but shade and water should always be nearby. Keep cords and breakable items out of reach of curious noses.
Daisy and Copper look like old friends, sharing a quiet look out the window. The sunshine seems to agree. The window is their favorite view, and today it has two fans watching it together.
