A Pug and a Lamb Both Decided the Wheelbarrow Was Theirs
The old wheelbarrow has become a snug little carriage. A fawn Pug with a wrinkled brow and big dark eyes sits in the front, and a white lamb sits tight against him, pressing her face close to his. A bag of soil, a bucket and a coiled hose wait behind them in the yard, and a bed of straw makes the tub comfortable. They look settled and slightly pleased with themselves.
Pugs are social, affectionate dogs that love being close to their families, and they often seek out snug spots. Because of their short faces, they should avoid hot weather and hard exercise, and a wheelbarrow in the sun would be a poor place for one. Lambs enjoy company, too, and often stick close to a friend. If you ever put a pet in a wheelbarrow for a photo, keep it still and on level ground. Rolling a wheelbarrow with animals in it is a bad idea, since they can fall or be frightened. Garden tools and soil products can also be hazardous, so keep them out of reach. A little thought for safety lets everyone enjoy the moment. Offer shade and fresh water if they are out in the yard for long.
The wheelbarrow is not going anywhere, and neither are they. It is a very good seat for two friends.
