Trick-or-Treaters Were Out on the Block. One Tuxedo Kitten Had the Best Seat.

AI imagetuxedo kittentrick or treatwindow

Perched on a wide windowsill beside a linen curtain and a knitted throw, a fluffy tuxedo kitten has the best view on the block. His black coat is set off by a crisp white chest and four little white socks, and his amber eyes are fixed on the parade outside. Down on the sidewalk, children in costumes are making their rounds: a tiny pumpkin, a ghost in a white sheet and a little witch with a pointed hat and orange candy bucket. Across the street, a porch is covered in pumpkins and a fall wreath, and golden trees line the neighborhood.

Watching from a window is actually one of the safest ways for a cat to experience Halloween. The constant doorbell, costumes and open doors can be stressful for cats, and many owners choose to keep them in a calm room away from the front entry. A window perch gives indoor cats plenty of entertainment year round, letting them watch birds, squirrels and passersby. Make sure screens are secure and windows are closed or only opened a crack if your cat likes to lean against the glass, and keep any candy bowls well out of reach.

From up here, the trick-or-treaters are fascinating, the treats are none of his business and the house is safe and warm. It's the perfect Halloween for a little cat in a tuxedo.
