An Old Red Wagon Full of Little Pumpkins Got a Fluffy Climber

AI imagehalloweenbirman kittenpumpkin wagon

An old red wooden wagon, its paint chipped and its wheels well worn, has been loaded with a harvest of little pumpkins: bright orange ones, creamy white ones, and a few striped green-and-gold gourds. Clambering over the top of the pile is a fluffy kitten with a pale, creamy body, dark seal-brown ears, and a smoky mask across her face. Her blue eyes peer out curiously, and her front paws grip a pumpkin, showing off neat white tips on her toes. A hallway with hanging coats and sneakers stretches out behind the wagon.

Those snowy white toes are the signature of the Birman, a colorpoint breed known for its "gloves," white markings on all four paws that contrast with darker points on the ears, face, legs, and tail. Birmans also have deep blue eyes and a silky, medium-long coat that tends to mat less than some other long-haired breeds. They're usually described as gentle, affectionate, and sociable, often enjoying the company of people and other pets without being overly demanding. A weekly brushing, regular play, and a cozy spot near the family usually keep them perfectly content.

This little one is still growing into her points, but her white gloves are already picture-perfect. She looks very pleased with her pumpkin throne.

Some kittens wear costumes for Halloween. This one arrived already dressed in her finest white gloves.
