Halloween Gave This Black Lab a Pair of Wings, and They Suit Him

AI imagelabrador retrieverhalloweenbat wings

Halloween has given this black Labrador Retriever a pair of wings, and they suit him perfectly. Little felt bat wings stick out from a black harness on his back, scalloped at the edges like the real thing, and his glossy dark coat completes the look. He sits on the walkway, head tilted slightly and amber eyes looking up with an earnest, eager expression, mouth just slightly open. Behind him, the front steps are decorated with fat orange pumpkins and a pot of bright orange mums, and a doormat lies in front of the dark front door.

Labrador Retrievers are among the most popular dog breeds in the United States, loved for their friendly, outgoing personalities and their eagerness to please. That good nature often makes them relaxed about simple costumes like wings or bandanas, which are usually more comfortable than full-body outfits. Choose accessories that attach to a well-fitting harness, rather than tight elastic, and check that nothing rubs under the legs. Labs are also known for their love of food, so they are especially at risk around Halloween candy. Keep treats well out of reach, and stick to dog-safe snacks for rewards.

This little bat may not fly, but he is clearly ready to swoop in for any treat that comes his way. Spooky, sweet and handsome, he is the full package.
