A Bengal Kitten in a Witch Hat Claimed the Top of the Hay Bale
Perched on top of a hay bale, a spotted Bengal kitten surveys the front yard from under a black pointed witch hat. The hat is a little crooked and a touch too big, which only adds to the look. Her coat is golden-brown with dark rosettes and stripes, her green eyes are bright and focused, and her whiskers fan forward. Behind her stands a house with pale siding, and a pumpkin glows near the door. Dry straw pokes out around her paws. Let's call her Spellbound, Spell for short.
Bengals are the breed that look like a tiny leopard, with spotted, shiny coats and plenty of energy to match. They are known for being active, clever, and curious, and many love climbing, puzzles, and games of fetch. A Bengal kitten that finds a hay bale is going to reach the top of it. These cats usually do best in homes where someone has time to play, so a tall cat tree, interactive toys, and daily play sessions go a long way toward keeping a lively cat happy.
A hat is a gentle choice of costume, but it needs to be safe. The elastic chin strap shouldn't be tight, the brim shouldn't cover her eyes, and you should take it off if she paws at it or looks upset. Pets shouldn't wear costumes for long, and never when unsupervised. Hay itself isn't great for chewing, so make sure she doesn't eat it, and check her fur afterward for stray pieces of straw.
Spell holds still for the portrait, then she'll be off the bale in a flash. For a moment, though, she is the most serious little witch in the neighborhood.
