A Boston Terrier Puppy Got Tucked Into a Stocking Up to the Chin
Only a face and two big ears peek out of a knitted red stocking, with a cream cuff rolled right under the chin. The Boston Terrier puppy has a white blaze down his nose, brindle patches around his eyes, and enormous dark eyes that look slightly stunned by the whole situation. Golden light spills in from a window on the right, and behind him a couch with a plaid blanket, a mug, and some toys scattered on the table make a cozy scene. Let's call him Stocking, since that's what he is now.
Boston Terriers are known as the American gentleman, with their tuxedo-like markings and cheerful nature. They are friendly, lively, and often clownish, and they love being close to their families. Their short noses mean they can be sensitive to heat and sometimes have trouble breathing in hot weather, so they should avoid overexertion and always have fresh water and a cool place. Many Boston Terriers have prominent eyes that are prone to scratches, so it's best to keep an eye on them during play.
Puppies love to burrow, and a knit stocking is a snug way to do it. Still, it's good to be careful with knitted items: loose threads can be pulled and swallowed, and a puppy tangled in the stocking could panic. A short photo session with a calm puppy is fine, but supervise at all times and don't leave a puppy inside anything alone. A soft, washable blanket is a safer long-term nesting spot.
Stocking stays put, wrapped up and warm, and looking out at the world with huge eyes. It might be the best gift in the house.
