A Goldendoodle Puppy in an Elf Hat Jingled His Way Into the Room
Wearing a pointed green elf hat with a jingle bell and a matching collar with red trim, a cream Goldendoodle puppy gazes up with soft brown eyes. His curly ears hang down, his nose is dark and shiny, and his fluffy coat has a teddy-bear look. Behind him, a Christmas tree glows beside a lamp, a mug and a pair of glasses sit on the table, and a basket of shoes and papers sits by the wall. Let's call him Jingle. The bell on his hat jingles whenever he moves.
Goldendoodles are a cross between Golden Retrievers and Poodles, and they often inherit friendliness and intelligence from both sides. They tend to be social and playful, and they need plenty of exercise and attention. The curly coat can be low-shedding but needs regular grooming, as it tangles easily and can mat. Because mixed breeds can vary a lot, a puppy's adult size and coat can be hard to predict, and your vet and groomer can advise on care.
Bells and small attachments on a costume deserve a close look. A puppy can chew off a bell and swallow it, so check that everything is stitched on firmly, or choose a costume without extras. Make sure the hat doesn't cover his eyes or squeeze his chin, and take it off when he's had enough. Dress-up should be brief, with plenty of praise and treats. Many puppies tolerate costumes better when they get used to them slowly.
Jingle sits happily, ready for anything the holiday brings. He might just be the most charming elf in the workshop.
