Oreo Sat Among the Gifts and Did Not Touch a Single One

AI imageshih tzuchristmaspresents

Under the lit branches of the tree, a black and white Shih Tzu sits in the middle of a crowd of gifts. The presents are wrapped in brown paper and tied with twine, and the dog's long coat and gentle expression make him look right at home among them. Warm lamplight glows behind him, along with a cozy chair and a potted plant, and gold ornaments hang above his head.

Shih Tzus were bred as companions, and they have the friendly, affectionate personality to match. Their long, flowing coat needs daily or near-daily brushing to prevent tangles, and many owners keep it clipped shorter for easier care. Their eyes are large and slightly prominent, so it is worth keeping hair out of the face and watching for irritation. They are happiest as part of the family, and they tend to do well in smaller homes and apartments.

Gifts under the tree are a fun draw, and some may contain food or scented items that smell very interesting to a dog. Keep edible presents out of reach, and be careful with anything wrapped with ribbon. We will call this patient gentleman Oreo, on account of his coloring. He seems to be simply sitting, taking in the lights and the quiet, and waiting for morning to arrive. There is something nice about a dog who is happy just to be near the gifts, whatever is inside them.
