The Snowman Got a Friend, and He Has Wrinkles and a Curly Tail
Standing guard in the snow, a fawn Pug named Gizmo sits next to a snowman wearing a red plaid scarf and a bright carrot nose. Gizmo's wrinkled black face is serious, his curled tail rests behind him and his round dark eyes look straight at you. The snowman has coal buttons down his belly, a wreath hangs on the door behind them and a snowy railing wrapped in garland stands to one side.
Pugs have short coats and flat faces, which means they get cold quickly and can struggle to breathe in extreme temperatures. Snow play for a Pug should be short, with a warm coat if needed and a towel afterward. They can also overheat in warm rooms, so a cool spot is important after cuddling by the fire. Wipe the facial wrinkles to keep skin healthy, and check paws for ice and salt. Pugs are cheerful and affectionate little dogs, and they love being around their families, so a snowman outing is a nice way to spend time together. They tend to gain weight easily, so ask your vet about holiday treat portions.
Gizmo looks like the snowman's best friend and bodyguard, sitting close and watching the world. The two make a charming pair, one warm and wrinkled and the other round and cold. Neither seems to be in a hurry.
