A Bulldog Puppy Rested His Chin on a Graveyard Stone
Wrinkles, a pink nose, and a pair of enormous dark eyes pop up over the edge of a gravestone. The white Bulldog puppy is hiding behind a row of grey tombstone decorations in the grass, one ear flopped sideways, jowls resting on the stone as though it is the perfect pillow. Tiny striped pumpkins and gourds sit among the fallen leaves, a small yellow house stands behind a fence, and the afternoon light makes the whole yard look soft and sleepy.
Bulldogs are sturdy, affectionate dogs with a calm, friendly nature, but their short faces mean they need extra care in warm weather. They can overheat easily and may snore or breathe noisily, so keep exercise gentle, provide shade and water, and avoid hot afternoons. Facial wrinkles should be wiped clean and dried to avoid irritation. Bulldog puppies are usually curious and a bit clumsy, so supervise them around steps and uneven yard decorations. If you use foam or stone-like props, make sure there are no sharp edges or small pieces that your puppy could chew off and swallow.
Let's call this little guy Winston. He doesn't look scared of the graveyard at all. He looks like he is thinking about snacks, or maybe a nap on the stones. Every cemetery should have a guardian this squishy and sweet. The pumpkins nearby seem happy to be his audience.
