A Blue Point Siamese Inspected the Gingerbread House Very Carefully

Sitting very upright on a rustic kitchen table, a blue point Siamese appears to be inspecting a small gingerbread house. The little house has white icing on the roof, gumdrops along the eaves, and snowflake cookies on its walls, and she looks at it with her icy blue eyes, her body turned slightly away as though pretending not to care. Siamese cats are slender, vocal, and highly social, and blue points have a pale silvery coat and gray-blue shading on the face and paws. Many Siamese like to be right in the middle of whatever people are doing, so the kitchen is a favorite spot. Kitchen tables and counters can be risky, though, because of hot dishes, sharp tools, and foods that are unsafe for pets, such as chocolate or sweets with xylitol. Offering a cat her own perch by the window helps keep her out of the way. If she does nibble something odd, call your vet.

She looks as if she has appointed herself the village architect. If the house is going to stand, she will be the one to supervise. Her tail is curled neatly around her paws, and nothing in the kitchen escapes her eye.
