It's Snowing Indoors, and One Curly Little Havanese Made the Forecast

It is snowing indoors, and the forecast was entirely created by one small, curly-haired dog. A chocolate Havanese with a fluffy brown coat sits proudly atop a torn white pillow, its seams ripped open and its stuffing gone. White feathers drift through the air all around, landing on the floor, the rug, and right on top of the puppy's head and back. He gazes up with bright brown eyes and a tilted head, ears pulled softly back. Jeans, a gray blanket, a knit sweater, and a pair of shoes lie scattered across the wooden floor nearby.

The Havanese is the national dog of Cuba and was developed as a cheerful companion breed. They are typically affectionate, playful, and very attached to their families, which also means they can get bored or anxious when left alone too long. Pillow-shredding is often a sign of a young dog with energy to spare. Feathers themselves are not usually toxic, but swallowing lots of them, or the pillow fabric and stuffing, can upset the stomach or even cause a blockage. Keep an eye out for vomiting or reduced appetite after a pillow massacre, and call your vet if you are worried.

For now, this little dog appears completely delighted with his work. Sitting in his cloud of floating feathers with that slightly sheepish but very satisfied look, he resembles a tiny chocolate angel, one who is definitely going to need a vacuum.
