The Rottweiler Found a Glove in the Snow and Kept It
Snow covers the backyard, and a black and tan Rottweiler stands in the middle of it holding a glove in his mouth, the fingers dangling from the corner of his jaw. His dark eyes are calm and a little guilty, and his breath makes a soft cloud in the cold air. A wooden fence and bare trees stand in the background. The glove's owner will be searching for it for a while.
Rottweilers are strong, confident dogs that were once used to drive cattle, and today many are loyal family companions. With early training and plenty of exercise, they can be gentle, affectionate and very attached to their people. Gloves are an appealing target for dogs because they carry the scent of the owner's hands. Swallowing gloves or other fabric can be dangerous, so keep an eye out and call your vet if any piece goes missing.
In snowy weather, a dog's paws also need care, because ice and salt can irritate the pads. Wiping his feet after a walk and trimming the fur between the toes helps. Rottweilers also enjoy a good game of fetch, which may satisfy the urge to carry things.
He seems to be offering the glove, or maybe keeping it. Either way, he holds it with the confidence of a dog who has done his job.
