Pixie the Devon Rex Pretends the Tissue Box Opened Itself

AI imagedevon rextissue boxliving room

The cream Devon Rex has her big ears pointed up and her curly, wavy coat looks like soft velvet as she looks away from the camera. Beside her, a tissue box has been torn open, with tissues spilling out onto the carpet in soft white swirls. She has a sleek, elfin face and she seems to be pretending that the box was already open. The room behind her is quiet and plain, with a grey couch and a basket by the wall.

Devon Rex cats are known for their wavy coats, large ears, and mischievous, playful personalities. They are often described as pixie-like, and many owners say they act like a mix between a cat, a monkey, and a dog, since they love to climb, jump, and follow their people around. They need plenty of play, and a bored Devon can turn a tissue box into a toy very quickly. Their short, fine coats also mean that they can get chilly, so a warm spot to sleep is a good idea. If your cat is eating tissues, not just shredding them, talk to your vet, since swallowing a lot of paper can upset her stomach.

We will call her Pixie. She looks innocent, but those big ears are listening for footsteps. The tissues will be swept up and the box will be replaced, and she will be very interested in the new one.
