A Black Cat Sits Among Scattered Chips Looking Guilty
Golden potato chips fan out around the black cat like a sunburst, and a torn foil bag lies on its side behind her. She sits in the middle with her yellow eyes fixed on the camera and a very guilty face. Her glossy fur makes a strong contrast with the pale chips, and the room beyond is quiet and plain, with a door frame and a folded cloth on the floor.
Cats are drawn to snack bags because they crinkle, smell rich, and make a good hiding spot. Salty snacks, however, are not good for cats, since too much salt can be harmful and some flavors contain onion or garlic powder, which are unsafe. A few chips will usually not do harm, but if she has eaten a lot or if she seems unwell, call your vet. Foil and plastic bags can also be a hazard, since cats may get stuck or chew them. Black cats are a wonderful part of the cat world, and they are no different from any other cat in personality, though many people find them elegant and a little mysterious. A good play session can use up her energy.
She seems calm about it all, and she is not sorry. The chips can be swept up. Black cats are often said to be lucky, and she has certainly had luck with this bag.
