A Yellow Lab Squeezed Into a Cardboard Box and Won't Leave
A yellow Labrador Retriever has squeezed into an open cardboard box and sits with its soft brown eyes gazing up. The ears fall in gentle folds, the chest is cream-colored, and the dark nose gleams. A white cloth rests beside the box, and a bright window glows in the background of the quiet room. The box is a snug fit, and the dog seems to have decided it is the best seat in the house.
Labrador Retrievers are some of the most popular family dogs, known for being friendly, eager to please, and a little goofy. They are also strong, enthusiastic dogs who love to explore with their mouths and paws, and many Labs enjoy squeezing into small spaces, much as cats do. A box can make a safe, cozy den for supervised rest, but Labs are also known to chew cardboard, so make sure they don't swallow big pieces. Labs love food and can gain weight easily, so measured meals and daily exercise are important, and your vet can suggest a healthy plan.
The box was meant for the recycling bin, but a Lab has claimed it fair and square. From inside, the dog looks up with hopeful eyes, perfectly content, perhaps wondering if the box could stay and whether the dog might be allowed to move in for good.
