A Fluffy White Samoyed Climbed Into the Sink and Won't Move
A white, fluffy dog fills the whole sink. A Samoyed has climbed in among the plates, forks, and bowls with leftover pasta and tomato sauce, and now he sits looking up with dark, thoughtful eyes and his ears relaxed. His thick coat glows in the warm kitchen light, and a gray dish towel hangs over the counter beside him. It is not clear how he got up there, but he plainly has no plans to leave.
Samoyeds are friendly, fluffy dogs from the cold regions of Siberia, known for their white coats and a wide, smiling expression. They are social, playful, and energetic, and they like being involved in whatever the family is doing. That thick double coat needs regular brushing, and it sheds a lot, so expect plenty of fluff in the kitchen. Samoyeds can be inventive, and a bored one may find his way into the sink or onto the counter. Dirty dishes are risky, since leftover food can include onions, garlic, bones, or sweetener, and cleaning products can be harmful. Wash dishes promptly and keep the sink clear. If he licks something you are unsure about, call your vet. Plenty of exercise and puzzle toys help.
He looks perfectly content, a cloud in a stainless steel cradle. The dishes can wait until someone is brave enough to ask him to move.
