A Pomeranian Climbed Into the Laundry Basket and Looks Very Proud

AI imagepomeraniancaught in the actlaundry basket

Perched high in a wicker basket and surrounded by sweaters, shirts, and towels, a fluffy orange Pomeranian looks straight at the camera with a small, bright grin. Clothes have spilled over the sides and across the wooden floor, and a pair of slippers, a bottle of laundry soap, and a few boxes sit in the background. He looks like a tiny king on a very soft throne, his round ruff puffed up like a lion's mane.

Pomeranians are small dogs with huge coats and bigger personalities. They are lively, intelligent, and loyal, and they often think they are much larger than they are. Their thick double coat needs regular brushing to prevent mats, and shedding season can bring fluff in every direction, so a basket of clean clothes can quickly turn hairy. Because they are so small, a leap from a basket or couch can hurt their joints, so provide steps or ramps and avoid rough landings. Laundry also holds hazards: socks, pods, and dryer sheets can be harmful if chewed or swallowed, so keep them out of reach and call your vet if he gets into any of it. A cozy dog bed lined with a soft blanket makes a great alternative.

He sits there in total triumph, a big grin on his tiny face. The laundry will need refolding, but the view is worth it.
