The Homework Is Chewed Up, and the Siamese Cat Looks Very Calm
A seal point Siamese sits tall beside a notebook whose cover is torn and whose pages are ragged, as though a tiny shredder had been at work. Her face is cream with a dark brown mask, her ears point straight up, and her blue eyes shine. A pair of paws rests neatly together, and the soft, blurred room behind her is calm and tidy, which makes the notebook look even more out of place.
Siamese cats are known for being intelligent, talkative, and very attached to their people, and they often want to be in the middle of whatever you are doing, including homework. Chewing on paper can be a sign of boredom or teething in young cats, and playing with interactive toys, climbing shelves, and puzzle feeders can keep that clever mind busy. If a cat swallows a lot of paper or seems unwell, call your vet. A few sheets of crumpled scrap paper make a safe plaything.
We will call her Pearl. She gazes upward as though she were waiting for a grade. Whatever happened to the notebook, she plans to be calm and dignified about it. The assignment may need rewriting, but at least she was involved in the learning process, and the teacher will surely be impressed by her interest. Her tail curls neatly around her paws as she waits patiently for her next adventure.
